On February 22, 1992, Sven Goebel joined NSA International as a part-time distributor—choosing an industry that, at the time, was above all one thing: controversial. MLM, as it was commonly known back then, had a bad reputation. People called it a pyramid scheme, and it carried a heavy load of prejudice.
Still, the business model had a certain magic to it. It fed on stories, speculation, rumors, and legends. Almost nobody really understood the math behind the promised miracle of multiplying money—wealth supposedly generated through depth within an organization, eventually leading to passive income. Some dismissed it as smoke and mirrors. Others saw it as the purest form of grassroots capitalism—a model that rewarded hard work, perseverance, and a genuine willingness to help others succeed.
And then there were the countless rags-to-riches stories. The kind that initially triggered skepticism, pushback, and well-meaning warnings from neighbors and friends. Yet those very stories had an irresistible pull. More often than not, they were the psychological trigger that made people take the leap despite every red flag—because the fear of missing out was stronger than the fear of losing. Those were the wild early days, still vivid in the memories of the industry’s pioneers. Many quit along the way. A few kept going.

A Journey Through the Network Marketing Industry
Today, 34 years later, the PhD-holding scientist is recognized as one of the top leaders in network marketing. But the road to get there was anything but straight. After joining NSA and earning his doctorate from the Technical University of Darmstadt in 1994, he moved on to Quorum International, where he built a team of 55,000 distributors. Then the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the United States.
What followed were more than twelve years with Unicity International—an organization of over 100,000 partners and cumulative revenue exceeding $100 million. From 2013 to 2017, Goebel stepped into a corporate role as Vice President at The Juice PLUS+ Company, where he was instrumental in driving growth across Europe.
In 2017, Dr. Sven Goebel and his wife Audrey, along with Sven and Christina Hennige, founded the Swiss company Enhanzz Global AG, based in Alpnach. In April 2022, Enhanzz merged with NASDAQ-listed Zinzino AB out of Sweden—opening an entirely new chapter.
Record-Breaking Pace at Zinzino
From there, things moved in only one direction for Sven and Audrey Goebel—straight up. In under three years, they became the fastest team in company history to reach Elite President. At the Zinzino Vision 2025 Convention in Oslo, the veteran network marketing professionals were named “Partner of the Year 2025.” They moved through the ranks at unprecedented speed: Crown → Royal Crown → Black Crown → Ambassador → Royal Ambassador → Black Ambassador President → Elite President → Global President.
Network Marketing Teaches Lessons You Can’t Buy
Reflecting on his career, Sven Goebel says: “On February 22, 1992, I said yes—to an industry that would go on to define my entire professional life. Thirty-four years ago, I had absolutely no idea what I was getting into. I thought I was starting a business. What actually began was a journey of personal growth.”
It was never just about money, the Zinzino top leader adds. “Network marketing didn’t simply give me an income. It shaped my character, built my resilience, and opened my eyes in ways nothing else could have.
Those years came with many faces and encounters—friendships that turned into family. Mentors who changed the way I think. Leaders who challenged me at every turn. Teams that believed in me. And experiences you simply can’t apply for anywhere in the world.
Airports, stages, hotel lobbies—they all became meeting points. Late-night strategy talks and difficult conversations were part of the deal. Wins and setbacks came hand in hand, teaching lessons that no seminar on earth could match. There were highs that felt unstoppable—and stretches that tested every fiber of my being.”
Staying the Course Is What Separates the Best
Sven Goebel: “Success in network marketing doesn’t come from hype. It comes from growth. Growth in how you think. In your skill set. In emotional maturity. In leadership.
This industry has a way of exposing your weaknesses without mercy—while handing you the chance to turn them into strengths.
I am deeply grateful. For every chapter. For every lesson—especially the painful ones. For thousands of conversations, for the travel, for the wins. For the people who stayed—and for those who moved on, because they shaped me too. Above all, I’m grateful that I never gave up. Thirty-four years later, the fire is still burning,” says Goebel.
Quieter now. Stronger. Clearer. “What started as a job became a calling—and it changed my life. Not because it was easy, but because it forced me, again and again, to become more than I was.”
His advice to those who are right in the thick of it: “Stay the course. The long game wins—every single time,” says Goebel.
