Das MLM-Unternehmen Herbalife ist bekannt geworden durch das Thema Gewichtsreduzierung, einem Markt, in dem sich viele Anbieter tummeln und der hart umkämpft ist, da mittlerweile auch viele große Handelsketten und Nutrition-Versandhändler den Milliardenmarkt mit der Gewichtsreduzierung ebenfalls für sich entdeckt haben.
Trotzdem laufen täglich Produkte zur Gewichtsreduzierung im Wert von rund 7,85 Millionen Dollar über die Versandbänder von Herbalife.
Über 63 Prozent aller Umsätze mit Produkten zur Gewichtsreduzierung
In 2016 erzielte Herbalife einen Nettoumsatz in Höhe von 4,488 Milliarden Dollar, wovon 2,864 Milliarden Dollar mit den Produkten zur Gewichtsreduzierung erzielt wurden, was einem Umsatzanteil von 63,82 Prozent entspricht. Mit weiteren Nutrition-Produkten werden 23,68 Prozent aller Umsätze erzielt.
Alleine mit Promotionartikeln macht das US-Unternehmen einen Umsatz von über 182 Millionen Dollar, eine Umsatzgröße, die andere Unternehmen gern mit Produkten erzielen würden.
